another small rant about life rn

life for me ain't never been no crystal stair...

But really, this pandemic is like being stuck in a loop where everyday you know what happens. Am I complaining? No. Am I excited? At the least.

I feel a bit groggy from my new sleep schedule. I am a bit tired of cooking every night and I am thinking that air is not the word for what I am needing in terms of the space that I need from...home. I love my partner, but I don't think I would want to be locked in any space with him for a long period of time until we're much older than now. We'd drive each other crazy. Some days I drive him, others I'm in the passenger seat but either way...destination crazy? Next stop!

I am thankful for the ability to create, walk, draw, paint, and meditate in the morning early before he wakes. I am grateful for breakfast and the lunch I don't usually eat. I'm thankful for sleeping in and late brunches. I'm thankful for making smoothies and new recipes. I am thankful for the internet and being able to explore and look for new hobbies. I am thankful for learning hubs that teach cool skills for free. I am thankful for socials that serve their purposes. I am thankful for being able to brew tea all-day and share my thoughts. I am grateful for being able to work diligently on the projects I hope to ring to fruition. I appreciate being able to work during this time. I am thankful for my students who keep my spirits up and put a smile on my face every session I have with them. I am thankful for my co-workers, even though we have yet to have a virtual happy hour! I;m thankful for my girlfriend whom I love to facetime and bother and make jokes and talk and gossip and laugh with. I am thankful for my family. sometimes they're annoying but I love them anyway...

I am thankful for my partner who I would not trade for anything during this time. We have been through lots more than this outward pandemic and I have to say, I love that I learn so much from him daily, even though he would say he isn't a teacher.

Okay, rant over. Thanks for tuning in!
